Welcome to the Department of Surgery
Professor Kevin Conlon The Trinity College Dublin Department of Surgery is located in St James's Hospital, the Adelaide and Meath Hospital incorporating the National Children's Hospital in Tallaght (AMNCH). The medical school at Trinity College Dublin has existed since the 17th century. In the 1970's St James's was developed as the principal teaching hospital of the medical school. Today St James's and the AMNCH Tallaght are the principal teaching hospitals of Trinity College Medical School.
