Radiotherapy is one of the main methods used to treat patients with cancer.  Upon successful completion of this course, you will be qualified as a Radiation Therapist- the health professional who is responsible for the delivery of radiation therapy. 

The Discipline of radiation therapy is based in the Trinity Centre for Health Sciences, St James's Hospital. The taught courses run through the discipline are the BSc (Rad Ther.) and the MSc in. Advanced Radiotherapy Practice

The main research areas pursued by staff in the discipline are broadly covered within the areas of: molecular oncology and radiobiology, radiation therapy in practice and health service management.
