Applying for the Diploma in Cognitive Psychotherapy

  • Supplementary Information form for PG Dip Cognitive Psychotherapy (if you can not find please contact cbtadmin@tcd.ie). This details your reasons for applying and past training/experience in CBT and a statement of suitability for course
  • 2 Academic References (using forms provided)
  • Transcripts (KT to check)

Admission Requirement:

This course is offered as a specialised post-qualification course that builds on relevant knowledge and skills already possessed by prospective candidates. Suitable candidates for the course will:

  • be currently employed in a healthcare setting and providing counselling or psychotherapy as part of their work, and;
  • have achieved a recognised third level qualification in a mental health profession (e.g. psychology, nursing, social work, medicine) and;
  • have relevant clinical experience and/or evidence of recognised foundation training in counselling/ psychotherapy and;
  • have two years postgraduate experience.

Fees

The fees for 2009-2010 are expected to be €10,750 for EU students and for nonEU is €17,454. This is payable in two equal amounts (August 2009 and January 2010). For Non-EU in one installment.
