Foundation Course in Cognitive Psychotherapy
This one year course is mainly aimed at mental health professionals or equivalent, with an interest in CBT
The course will consist of 3 terms. It is expected to run from September to May and will comprise 2, 3-day blocks in September and April and 15 fortnightly teaching days on Thursdays.

This one year course develops a student’s understanding of Cognitive Psychotherapy applied to common mental health problems

M.Sc Course
- Two-year course
- Term 1 (Sep – Dec) – teaching on Thursdays and Fridays
- Terms 2-4 (Jan – Dec) – Clinical Placement including supervision (1-2 days per week) plus one day release for teaching (on Thursdays)
- Terms 5 & 6 (Jan – June) – Completion of Research Dissertation. Further case work in own place of work with peer supervision & Course Assessment
- Self Practice/ Self Reflection throughout 2 years
- Research Skills Training and Support over 2 years
- Year 1 cost approx €12,000
- Year 2 cost – dependent on number of students (no more than Year 1)
- If course runs this year, applications will be online in same format as Diploma course and will be due in June, date to be confirmed.
- Students must already have a PG Diploma in Cognitive Psychotherapy or equivalent qualification.
- Must be working in a healthcare setting.
- Deadline for applications will be June 1st
