Paediatric Haematology

Childhood Leukaemia: A study has been completed on the relevance and detection of MRD in childhood ALL. Other investigations include a natural history of GATA1 mutations, bone marrow angioganesis in ALL and the role of E2A-HLF fusion transcripts in ALL.

Work continues on the molecular and cellular basis of the inflammatory/coagulation interface in human disease. A Central relationship between the protein C anticoagulant/cytoprotective pathway and sepsis or systemic inflammatory response sepsis syndrome.
