Welcome to the Discipline of Clinical Microbiology

The Discipline of Clinical Microbiology is located in the Sir Patrick Dun Labs, Central Pathology Laboratory, St. James's Hospital and the Trinity Centre, Tallaght Hospital.

Lectures take place on site in the Trinity Centres in St. James's Hospital and Tallaght Hospital campuses and on the main Trinity College campus.

Research leading to the M.D., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree is undertaken in the Department. We also offer a taught masters in Healthcare Infection Mangement, which can be taken part-time (over 2 years) or as a full time 1 year course.

The Discipline has an extensive research programme.
