Double Vision

Horizontal diplopia with adduction weakness

  • Internuclear ophthalmoplegia (MLF syndrome) may be unilateral or bilateral
    - weakness of adduction with nystagmus in the abducting eye
    - MS most common cause
    - ischaemia; tumour; infiltration; encephalitis; Wernicke’encephalopathy; myasthenia gravis; syringobulbia are other causes.
